Waterfront Sub-Penthouse Apartment in City Centre

Positive: Location is perfect Negative: Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It seemed small for a sub penthouse, more like a two room apartment.

This 2 bed, 2 bath condo is perfectly located to the Esplanade in Carins! It was roomy with a well-appointed kitchen and laundry. We walked a quick 10 mintues to the marina to catch the ferry to Fitzroy Island as well as to our SCUBA boats. There are so many places to dine and have coffee or sweet treats within walking distance. The location is simply fantastic. Communication with our host was also great. They were super responsive and very clear and concise with answers and instruction. The only negative is that the unit and condo/hotel in general is a bit worn and dated. The pool is not as pictured in the photos... it appears grimy and not something that I would want to swim in (the esplanade lagoon on the other hand is crystal clear). The unit had crumbs on the table and was a bit dusty with bits of mold in the shower curtain. We were also sad to learn that we could not park our bags with reception on the day of checkout, so we had to find an offsite luggage storage location so we could explore before heading to the airport. This place would be amazing with a bit of TLC... but for the price and the location, we would recommend.

Overall cleanliness was OK but there were some food remnants on the round table. Need to supply glass cleaner. The shower curtain in the ensuite was dirty and stained at the bottom.Otherwise everything was fine and comfortable
